Digital Appointments is working with an ambitious, privately owned group to recruit a Chief Financial Officer. The group runs a growing collection of hospitality venues across the UK.
This is a senior role. You'll report to the Managing Director and work closely with the CEO and the Board, leading the group's finances and helping to shape its growth plans.
The role
- Lead financial management, reporting, governance and controls across all group companies
- Develop and deliver the group's long-term financial strategy
- Advise the Board on acquisitions, disposals, investments and refinancing, including due diligence and investment appraisals
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
- Oversee treasury, banking relationships, cash flow and working capital
- Provide commercial insight on hotel performance, including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, labour productivity and food and beverage
- Manage tax, statutory reporting, audits and regulatory compliance
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
- Improve finance systems, reporting and business intelligence
About you
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant experience as a CFO, Finance Director or in a similar executive role within a complex, multi-site organisation
- Hospitality experience is desirable with multi-site operations
- Experience working in privately owned, entrepreneurial or family-owned businesses
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, treasury, investment appraisal and funding structures
- Experience of M&A, refinancing or business transformation
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
- Commercially sharp, with the confidence to influence decisions at Board level
- A strong leader and communicator who builds good relationships with banks, auditors, advisers and investors
