Job Description
The
Sr. Manager, Sales Operations and Planning role is responsible for facilitating the sales and operations planning and scheduling processes for the Water Division using cross functional input and market intelligence.
This position will serve our Enterprise Division, located in Roswell, GA (Hybrid).
Responsibilities
- Strong, results oriented leadership that includes development and deployment of improvement initiatives, timelines, and budgets.
- Creates and executes communication and management of resources across business segments.
- Establish the SIOP processes to provide better market intelligence, improve demand planning accuracy, balance the supply and demand plan with a forward-looking view, and highlight areas of risk for contingency planning and decision making.
- Support demand planning process designed to integrate feedback from Sales, Marketing, Operation, Scheduling, Finance, Logistics, and Sourcing teams to develop the monthly, quarterly and annual demand consensus plan by channel, key customers and products.
- Responsible for translating the sales forecast to a monthly, quarterly and yearly demand plan. This will involve development, validation and delivery of a consensus demand plan for all lines of business through leading the monthly planning cycle. This includes generation of a base statistical forecast, incorporation of market intelligence information to fine-tune the forecast, resulting in consensus on a final demand plan.
- Drive the ESIOP process. Includes communicating with middle and senior executives to appraise the status of SIOP process and the progress made with respect to the target value of KPI’s. This involves creating the monthly ESIOP presentation, with specific focus on story, opportunities that require documented decisions, and dedicated/accurate data.
- Communicate the ESIOP summary, recommendations, and action plans to executive leadership and driving associated actions with business leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
- Assist in annual sales budget and monthly financial forecast by providing intelligence on market condition, competition, customers, and sales outlook.
- Assist with inventory planning by managing inventory targets, safety stocks, kanbans for all materials at SKU/location level, and updating monthly inventory forecasts.

- Support new product introduction (NPI) by providing input on demand forecasting and production / inventory planning requirements
- Drives accountability and process improvement though aggressive goal setting, execution, and KPI management (e.g. forecast accuracy, back-order rates, backlog management, capacity allocation, inventory turns, service levels, inventory health, etc.).
- Collaborates with stakeholders internally and externally (i.e. customers, suppliers, industry agencies, etc.) to ensure that product promotions, marketing plans, sales plans, product launches and product phase-out plans are reflected in a relevant and improving S&OP process.
- Builds consensus between different teams to reduce the gap between demand and supply.
- Analyzes trends in demand, supply, inventory health and factory capacity on a periodic basis. Identifies/mitigates constraints in supply to meet demand and Rheem profitability.
- Must provide consistent, credible leadership to a team of 3-6 supply chain planners and analysts that are responsible for Demand Forecasting and Inventory Health.
- Set yearly goals and KPI's for the team. Build and mentor the team to improve supply chain performance based on KPI's focused on improvements in customer fulfillment and profitable business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Marketing, Logistics/Transportation or a related field is required.
- 10 years’ total experience in Supply Chain with 5+ years’ experience in Sales Inventory and Operations Planning, Supply and Demand Balancing, Operations Management, Production control, Inventory Management or Scheduling.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment and with customers.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient computer skills such as MS Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant software such as Oracle EBS, Oracle BI/Power BI, Demantra or other demand planning solutions
- Experience in CRM software.
- Experience in leading the S&OP process for supply chain.
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management theory and supply chain practices.
- Experience managing Demand Planning assignments.
- Experience working in a multi-site Global Company
- Experience leading teams
Preferred Qualification
- Master's degree or MB is preferred.
- APICS or Supply Chain certification is plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience implementing ERP system (Oracle)
- Direct Supervisory Experience
