Basic Job Functions:
- The Business Development team supports new business development and applies technology to improve risk management, business process, sales reporting, and contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems.
- The Analyst will be responsible for supporting opportunity creation, data integrity, reporting and analytics within our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This entails engagement in key contract development activities such as attending internal strategy discussion meetings, documenting, and tracking contract term changes, updating key field and attribute CRM data and ensuring CRM system is updated and aligned in near real-time to ongoing opportunity negotiations. The Analyst will also support analytics related to demand planning and allocation strategies for the business development strategic allocation group. In addition, this position will support the ongoing evaluation, design, and implementation process for modifications to existing CRM system and/or supporting such activities for a new CRM system. The position will interface with and coordinate internally across business development, execution, fulfilment, Sales Operations, product management, supply chain, and warranty.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business, Analytics or similar OR 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role with no degree
- Prior experience in Data Analytics, legal, finance, sales, or sales support role is a plus.
- Familiarity with solar or renewable is a plus.
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Proficient in using MS Office Suite, with emphasis Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to absorb and process information to prepare and present to internal stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong critical thinking, planning, organization, and execution skills.
- Ability to anticipate issues and recommend solutions.
- Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback and guidance to improve work product.
- Experience process mapping in Visio, preferred.
- Experience using Tableau and basic report building, preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce or Oracle Sales Cloud, preferred.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support Sales Associates in detailing and tracking customer deals in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain Salesforce.com with contracts and other documents.
- Support deal leads throughout the transaction and execution process.
- Build familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM with the goal of managing and maintaining sales opportunities.
