About Us: Founded in 2009, The African SOUP is a Ugandan-led, indigenous NGO with roots in rural Nabikabala Village where it serves over 900 children and families with community designed-programs that are creating lasting solutions to fight poverty and fueling a push for national education reform. Our community programs include a nursery and primary school totaling more than 750 children; a scholarship program for SOUP graduates to attend secondary school; and a home visitation program serving 120 families and 50 pregnant mothers across 16 villages. Our drive for education reform centers around active learning, which we model at our School.
