The Deal Desk team are the strategic partners and advisors to Thomson Reuters' Go-To-Market /teams. We facilitate the deal structures and requests that our clients demand and factor this into Thomson Reuters' wider commercial strategies. We drive scale within the Go-To-Market functions whilst creating efficiencies, profitability, and enables effective governance, allowing our Sales teams to focus primarily on selling.
The Senior Deal Desk Consultant will become an expert in our policies, processes, and systems. You'll advise, coach, and train Sales Reps on a day-to-day basis to efficiently work with Thomson Reuters' sales processes and policies. Additionally, you'll have the autonomy to lead initiatives that improve our processes, and systems to ensure we have the most robust and efficient processes in place.
About the Role
As Senior Deal Desk Consultant at Thomson Reuters, you will:
Serve as the go-to trusted advisor for the Sales teams. You'll solve complex commercial problems, enacting deal strategy through the deal process and coordinating the execution of deals through internal process and systems.
Serve as an expert in advanced Deal Desk activities, educating Sales teams on changes in processes, policies, and best practices to improve performance of the sales cycle, releasing Sales capacity to core sales activities.
Lead ongoing and month end reporting as well as other activities to drive data driven decisions.
Lead projects with cross-functional teams in support of executing selling activities, in the roll-out of new and enhanced product releases and policies, and in the improvement in processes
Ensure governance is in place so that Sales teams are operating within the Rules of Engagement and Commercial Policy. Working directly and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive effective governance for TR and its policies.
Understand end-to-end processes and serve as an expert on the roles and responsibilities of cross-functional support teams. You'll ensure issues are resolved quickly, and will identify, scope, and deliver process and systems/automation improvements in operations for the Sales cycle.
Serves as a coach and mentor to other team members, assisting with on-boarding, day-to-day training, coaching, and collaborating to solve commercial problems. You'll take ownership and program manage issue that are barriers to closing deals effectively, drive resolution across all back-office teams.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Senior Deal Desk Consultant at Thomson Reuters if you have:
Experience of managing and improving processes across a sales cycle, customer contracting or managing complex commercial projects.
A strong commercial background and analytical approach to processes and problems within a sales cycle. You'll bring a track record in supporting customer contracting activities and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent partnership skills with the ability to collaborate with different functional groups, in different regions, across cultures where face to face opportunities are minimal.
The ability to work in complex matrix environment within a team or as a single contributor.
Strong business acumen, organizational, time management skills and attention to detail
Ability to effectively evolve the status quo and enhance working practices, allowing teams to focus on and execute against agreed OKRs.
The ability to work in unstructured environments and ensure that deadlines are hit.
Experience with Salesforce, Order Capture, SAP and Oracle is a plus
Ability to process a high volume of transactions with accuracy and integrity.
