Face sales is our main acquisition channel, with the team vital to our success. As we grow,
we’re seeking a dynamic and driven Face-to-Face Sales Manager to join our team and help
share the Nonna Tonda experience with even more customers across the UK!
The Role:
As our Sales operations manager, you will be the driving force behind growing our
subscriber base through in-person engagements. This is a hands-on role that requires
creativity, energy, keen attention to detail and a love for food. You’ll lead a team of sales
representatives, build up a close knit team, and ensure Nonna Tonda is represented with
enthusiasm and authenticity.
Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and execute our strategy for face-to-face sales, focusing mainly on our
established bike, pop-up shop, and event acquisition channels.
● You will be responsible for leading a team on the ground to achieve sales targets in
line with our business model.
● You will work alongside our other F2F Sales Manager to collaboratively achieve sales
targets, and take responsibility to lead and develop your own team. This will include
running training sessions, and onboarding new recruits.
● Manage this team of part time sales representatives to actively engage with potential
customers to share the story of Nonna Tonda and encourage subscriptions.
● Drive a company van to meet your team in the field and deliver equipment to them
when needed.
● Work alongside our Events & Logistics Co-ordinator to identify and secure
opportunities for in-person sales at high-traffic venues and events.
● Track sales targets and complete detailed reporting, providing regular updates to
senior management.
● Ensure your team is selling Nonna Tonda in an effective and professional manner.
● Provide feedback to your team to crack down on misselling, and encourage upselling
of different product features.
● Collect team availability and build a rota to ensure required staffing levels are met.
● Gather feedback from our sales team on the ground to inform product development
and marketing strategies.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves
engaging with people, and shares our passion for great food! You will have previous
experience of managing and motivating a team, and the ability to think on your feet and
adapt to the changing business requirements of a young start up.
You’ll need:
● Proven experience in face-to-face sales, ideally in a D2C or food-related business.
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
● A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and
take initiative.
● Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating a team.
● A passion for fresh pasta and Italian cuisine (bonus points if you’ve worked in food or
hospitality!).
● Availability to work 2-4 weekend days per month, as required for events and sales
opportunities. With time off in lieu allocated in return.
● Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
