Chief Revenue Officer
Sterling Trading Tech is a rapidly growing Chicago-based financial technology firm operating industry leading trading technology solutions, OMS and Risk and Margin tools is looking for a passionate, hardworking, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of the financial industry and knowledge of the electronic trading industry to join their growing team.
We are seeking a Chief Revenue Officer to join our Business Development Team reporting to the CEO. The CRO role will be responsible for developing and managing revenue-generating activities within the company with the goal of maximizing revenues and driving business growth through effective strategies and operations.

Our US & International client base includes professional traders, broker dealers, hedge funds, clearing firms, and sell side and buy-side firms trading multi-asset including US Equities, Options and Futures and Fixed Income.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement revenue strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- Establish annual revenue targets and develop budgets and forecasts to help the company achieve its financial goals.
- Aligning the company’s revenue operations across all departments
- Identifying new market opportunities and setting strategic directions for revenue growth
- Overseeing the sales team, setting quotas, and ensuring targets are met
- Align with marketing to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with revenue goals
- Analyzing business trends and market conditions to forecast revenue potential
- Collaborating with the finance department to budget and track revenue performance
- Present revenue reports and forecasts to the executive team
- Establishing and implementing pricing strategies
- Building and maintaining relationships with key industry partners
- Align with various departments, such as sales, marketing, and customer service, to collectively work towards enhancing revenue generation.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities and threats for the business.
- Collaborate with product development teams to create innovative offerings that cater to customers' needs and help the organization stay ahead in the market.
- Establish data-driven processes for evaluating the success of sales and marketing initiatives and suggest improvements when necessary.
- Develop and utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of revenue-generating strategies and initiatives.
- Regularly report progress and revenue performance to company stakeholders, including the CEO and executive team.
Desired Qualifications:
· BA/BS or equivalent educational background.
· REQUIRED - Professional experience in the FinTech industry leading high performance sales teams and a proven track record of selling Order Management Systems and/or Risk & Margin solutions
· Must have a “hunter” mentality that includes extensive cold outreach and lead generation experience.
· Strong multitasking skills
· Ability to maintain the CRM with consistent and real time sales updates
· Proven track record of success
· Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
· Thrives in high-pressure situations that arise in the trading technology world in a professional manner
