The Role
The Sales Operations & Strategy role will play a crucial role in driving the success of our global sales function. This position is key to aligning and optimizing our sales operations and strategy across diverse markets and regions. They will oversee and enhance critical elements of the sales process, including deal desk management, pricing strategies, and sales enablement tools. By ensuring a cohesive approach to sales operations and strategic planning, the role will enable our sales teams to achieve their targets, streamline processes, and deliver exceptional value to our clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to integrate global sales initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and drive performance improvements across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Desk & Pricing: Develop and manage pricing policies, deal structures, and communications plans. Ensure that pricing strategies align with business objectives and market conditions.
- Sales Tools & Systems: Oversee the implementation and optimization of sales systems and tools to enhance pipeline management and sales effectiveness.
- Sales Enablement: Coordinate with legal, regulatory, and compliance teams to facilitate deal closure and ensure adherence to internal policies.
- Field Marketing: Develop and execute go-to-market plans and create collateral tailored to each region. Ensure consistency and effectiveness in field marketing efforts.
- Sales Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of global sales strategies. Analyse market trends and customer needs to drive strategic initiatives.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of 2-3 professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Qualifications
EML is looking for a highly respected and experienced leader in payments and financial services who brings the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience in sales operations, strategy, or a related role within a global organization.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, pricing strategies, and deal management.
- Experience with sales tools and systems, including CRM platforms (Clari, Gong, Salesforce, HubSpot, HighSpot).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and regions.
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales enablement and field marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Ideal candidate will have experience in FinTech, SaaS, or Payments.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
