Job Summary
The ideal candidate will oversee all financial aspects of the company, including budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, risk assessment and strategic financial planning. They will be experience in the unique challenges and complexities of the construction industry, such as project-based accounting, contract management and managing large capital expenditures requiring strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide insights to make informed business decisions for optimal profitability and growth.
Duties
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for stakeholders.
- Manage cash flow, investment strategies, and capital structure to optimize financial performance.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency within the finance department.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Collaborate with senior management on project management initiatives to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
- Monitor industry trends and economic conditions to inform strategic planning.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar executive finance role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
- Proficient in project management principles and practices.
- Experience in business development strategies that drive growth and profitability.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Banking, monthly and year end reporting.
- 10+ years in financial leadership, CPA or equivalent required.
