Chief Financial Officer – SEC Group of Companies
Full job description
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for driving the financial strategy and ensuring the fiscal health of SEC Group of Companies. This includes optimizing financial performance, managing risk, and maintaining compliance to support the group growth objectives. The CFO will oversee all financial operations including the preparation of Group’s forecast to potential investors and get necessary funding from various financial institutions/ PE/ VCs.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning
1. Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company goals and objectives.
2. Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to achieve profitability and cost-efficiency targets.
3. Provide strategic advice to the Managing Director on financial matters, including market risks, various funds and growth opportunities.
Financial Operations Compliance
1. Oversee preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
2. Ensure robust internal controls, adherence to accounting standards, and timely statutory audits.
3. Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to manage audits and compliance.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
1. Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimal working capital levels.
2. Lead negotiations with banks for loans and other financial arrangements.
3. Oversee debt servicing, credit control, and treasury functions to optimize financial resources.
Cost Management & Profit Optimization
1. Drive cost optimization initiatives across departments to improve profitability.
2. Implement and monitor cost control measures in manufacturing, procurement, and sales operations.
3. Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies and product profitability analysis.
4. Regularly review financial policies, controls, and procedures for continuous improvement.
Leadership & Team Development
1. Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts team to achieve high performance.
2. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
3. Collaborate with heads of other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
Project Evaluation & Capital Allocation
1. Evaluate financial feasibility of new projects, capital expenditures, and strategic investments.
2. Conduct ROI analysis to support decision-making for expansions or new product lines.
Core Competencies:

2. Experience in managing banking relationships and securing financing for business growth.
3. Ability to drive change management and process improvement initiatives.
Technical Competencies:
1. Proven experience in financial planning, cost management, and budgeting within a multi- location setup.
2. Hands-on experience in managing statutory compliance, audits, and tax matters.
3. Strong track record in cash flow management, cost optimization, and financial risk mitigation.
Education: Chartered Accountant (CA)
Experience: 12 plus years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in preparation of proposals to various financial institutions/ venture capital/ private equity for raising funds.
Certifications/Licenses: Proficient in financial software and ERP systems.
