Our client, a rapidly growing, venture-backed technology company is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. What You'll Do
As a key member of the executive team, you will lead the company's financial strategy while overseeing core operational functions that support long-term growth and scalability.
Finance Leadership
- Lead all accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, tax strategy, financial reporting, audits, and banking relationships.
- Develop sophisticated financial models that support strategic planning, capital allocation, and business growth.
- Serve as the executive financial partner to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Lead fundraising efforts, investor relations, board reporting, and future financing initiatives.
- Design and implement AI-powered financial systems that improve forecasting, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Compliance & Operations
- Oversee legal, regulatory, and compliance initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
- Establish governance frameworks that support rapid growth and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Manage risk, insurance, internal controls, and fraud prevention strategies.
- Provide executive oversight of IT infrastructure and corporate facilities.
- Business Intelligence
- Build a modern, AI-driven business intelligence function that delivers real-time insights and supports data-driven decision making.
- Champion automation and AI solutions that streamline finance and operational processes.
- Human Capital
- Oversee payroll, compensation, benefits, and total rewards programs.
- Partner with leadership to build and scale the finance organization while supporting strategic hiring initiatives.
What our client is Looking For
- 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in a senior finance leadership role within a high-growth technology or startup environment.
- Demonstrated success leading fundraising initiatives, preferably through a Series B or later financing round.
- Deep expertise in accounting, FP&A, financial modeling, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Experience implementing AI and automation within finance organizations.
- Strong understanding of compliance, legal oversight, and multi-jurisdictional operations.
- Experience managing payroll, compensation, and benefits in a scaling organization.
- Background supporting marketplace, membership, subscription, or transaction-based business models is highly desirable.
- Experience in fintech, payments, hospitality technology, or luxury consumer businesses is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present financial strategy to executives, board members, and investors.
- A collaborative leadership style with high integrity, strong business judgment, and a builder's mindset.
