About the position:
We are looking for a motivated
Sales Operations Specialist to help streamline our sales processes and support our sales team with data-driven insights. This role involves managing CRM systems, and Microsoft tools like Excel, generating sales reports, and creating dashboards to track KPIs and other key metrics. The specialist will also collaborate with stakeholders and team members to improve sales forecasting, assist in pricing strategies, and enhance overall team performance.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, business operations, or a related field AND
- 4-7 years of experience in sales operations, sales management, or a similar role.
Optional but extremely desirable experience:
- Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry – software sales a plus
- Experience working with sales teams of 10+
- CRM experience: Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing CRM systems:
- Maintain and optimize HubSpot CRM to support sales data accuracy and streamline sales processes.
Conducting data analysis:
- Analyze sales performance data, identify trends, and create actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Enhancing sales processes:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance sales strategies.
Collaborating with stakeholders:
- Work closely with sales representatives, business development, sales leadership, and other stakeholders to support aligned goals.
Sales forecasting and analytics:
- Develop sales forecasting models, create dashboards for tracking KPIs, and monitor sales targets to optimize team performance.
Supporting sales initiatives and strategies:
- Implement sales strategies that support growth initiatives, sales goals, and business objectives.
Develop and Maintain reports and dashboards:
- Support maintenance of existing Reporting infrastructure; provide the sales team with dashboards and sales reports to track performance metrics to support data-driven decisions.
Sales Enablement Training and onboarding:
- Provide support for onboarding and training on CRM systems, sales tools, and sales processes to equip new hires with the tools they need.
Implementing sales automation:
- Use automation tools to enhance efficiency within the sales cycle and free up time for sales representatives.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to conduct data analysis and work with metrics to drive team performance.
- Strong experience with CRM systems like Salesforce and HubSpot to support efficient sales processes. HubSpot experience a plus!
- Strong communication skills for working with stakeholders, sales team members, and business development teams.
- Experience in project management and process improvement in implementing effective sales strategies and streamline workflows.
- Proficiency in Excel and various KPI system dashboards. Advanced Excel skills and experience in creating dashboards for KPI tracking and sales analytics.
- Highly detail-oriented with a data-driven approach to sales management and business operations.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and sales team members to improve team performance and achieve sales targets
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Some travel may be required for onsite Sales related or organizational meetings.
