Creative opportunity for a numbers person
Company Description
Immigrant Opera is an event/talent agency with an ethical mission to help creative immigrants integrate into the UK cultural market. We aim to raise awareness about the effects of totalitarianism among the local public. Immigrant Opera provides a platform for artists previously censored by toxic governments, giving audiences firsthand insight into lives affected by war and dictatorship. We will be showcasing fresh immigrant talent and talking about issues like xenophobia, propaganda, polarisation of society and many others through the power of performative arts. We are working with a variety of local cultural organisations to make this an important and well endorsed event that will create employment opportunities and raise awareness. We are committed to supporting fair wages, inclusivity, and the appreciation of foreign talent. Join me and my team in creating the next big deal in London's contemporary theatre scene!
Role Description
I am a creative visionary with extensive experience in putting together unforgettable events, growing communities and brands. I am looking for my number-minded counterpart to take care of various tasks like business modelling, fundraising, crowdfunding, working with sponsors and grants along some other admin duties. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing financial planning and strategy, managing financial statements and reporting, and ensuring the financial health of the organisation. I am looking not only for a member of the team, but also a potential partner, who shares my vision and passion for the mission. Currently we can be flexible with tasks and hours, but commitment and work ethic are imperative. You can work part-time fully remote with occasional on-site visits or you can get fully involved and become a detrimental member of the team and/or partner. Your role and future in the company will depend on the level of your involvement and contribution. You will be exposed to a lot of art, excitement, and interesting people. Together we will develop this startup into London's new creative immigrant hub.
This is the perfect opportunity to get involved in an exciting cultural startup at an early stage or an outstanding social initiative work experience paragraph in your CV.
Please include a short story about your affiliations with theatre and why our mission is important to you.
