Syntax Talent Solutions is partnering exclusively with our client to identify their Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will join the leadership team reporting into the CEO and Board of Directors. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company, with a strong focus on acquisitions in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management, strategic planning, operational efficiency, and ideally has spent some time in their career within Private Equity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to inform executive decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation and management of financial statements, reports, and disclosures in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with investors, private equity partners, and financial institutions.
- Drive acquisition strategies, including identifying targets, conducting due diligence, negotiating terms, and integrating acquired entities.
- Ensure robust financial controls and risk management processes are in place.
- Collaborate with other executive team members to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Optimize the company's capital structure and manage liquidity to support operational and strategic needs.
- Lead the finance team, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscape to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA, CFA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably as a CFO.
- Extensive experience in acquisitions and private equity within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of driving financial performance and managing growth in a complex business environment.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
