Job Title: Business Operations Manager
Reports to: Head of BizOps & Partnerships
Job Summary:
The Business Operations Manager oversees and enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization's processes, including internal processes, sales efficiencies etc..
This role involves analyzing business functions, implementing best practices, streamlining processes, and leading initiatives to improve productivity and profitability.
The manager works closely with various departments to align operational goals with the company's strategic objectives and ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Improvement & Optimization
○ Identify inefficiencies in business operations and implement solutions to optimize processes.
○ Develop and maintain business process workflows, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently. ○ Utilize performance metrics to monitor and improve operational effectiveness.
2. Team Management & Leadership
○ Lead, coach, and develop the operations team, ensuring they meet their goals and deadlines.
○ Collaborate with team leaders and managers from various departments to drive operational initiatives.
○ Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
3. Strategic Planning & Execution
○ Develop and execute business strategies to align with organizational goals.
○ Create and manage budgets for operational activities and monitor expenses to ensure financial efficiency.
○ Support the senior management team in setting strategic priorities and operational plans.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
○ Work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, marketing, finance, HR) to ensure alignment of operations with business objectives.
○ Serve as a liaison between operations and other key departments to resolve any operational issues.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting
○ Analyze operational data to track progress and identify trends.
○ Prepare and present reports on key operational metrics to senior management.
○ Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimize business operations.
6. Project Management
○ Lead and oversee operational projects from initiation through execution, ensuring completion within deadlines and budget.
○ Manage project timelines, resources, and communication across teams.
7. Vendor & Supplier Management
○ Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of services/products.
○ Negotiate contracts and ensure the organization gets the best value for its investments.
Required Qualifications:
● Education:
○ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
● Experience:
○ 5+ years of experience in business operations, project management, or a similar role.
○ Proven track record of leading and improving operational processes and team performance.
○ Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior management.
● Skills:
○ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
○ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
○ Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
○ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
○ Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
