ABOUT THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
The CFO will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and providing strategic leadership to drive business growth. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong business acumen, and a results-oriented approach to financial management, cost control, and revenue optimization. The CFO will play a crucial role in financial planning, risk management, and capital allocation to support the company’s expansion goals.
KEY LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic Financial Planning
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's long-term business objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team to drive business growth and profitability.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion initiatives.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders, including investors, banks, and the board of directors.
- Monitor financial performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary.
Accounting & Compliance
- Lead all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant financial reporting standards.
- Work with external auditors and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance and address any financial risks.
Cash Flow & Capital Management
- Develop and oversee cash flow management strategies to maintain financial stability.
- Optimize working capital, monitor liquidity, and oversee debt financing strategies.
- Manage banking relationships and negotiate financing agreements to support growth initiatives.
Operational & Business Optimization
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to drive cost efficiencies and operational improvements.
- Implement financial systems and technology solutions to improve accuracy, reporting, and scalability.
- Lead financial risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop financial staff, ensuring a strong talent pipeline for future leadership
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred with 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting leadership roles.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial company preferred.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of driving business growth and profitability.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, corporate finance, and investment strategies.
- Experience in M&A, fundraising, and investor relations is a strong asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
