The Sales Operations Analyst will support the sales team by providing data-driven insights, process improvements, and strategic analysis to optimize the sales cycle. The role involves collaborating with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment, streamline processes, and drive efficiency across the sales organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, an understanding of the automotive technology industry, and a passion for improving sales operations.
This role will be Hybrid to our Reading office and will require at least once a week travel to office or as and when required by the Line Manager.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyse sales data and generate reports on key metrics such as sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, and performance against targets
- Identify trends and provide insights to help optimize the sales strategy
- Support the development and maintenance of dashboards to track sales performance and KPIs
Sales Process Optimization:
- Work closely with sales leaders to streamline and improve sales processes from lead generation to deal closure
- Implement and maintain sales tools and systems (e.g., CRM platforms, sales enablement software)
- Identify bottlenecks in the sales process and recommend solutions to enhance productivity
Forecasting & Planning:
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management strategies
- Assist in the creation of quarterly and annual sales plans and targets
- Monitor performance and adjust forecasts as needed
Sales Enablement:
- Support the sales team with training materials, process documentation, and resources to help them close deals efficiently
- Ensure the sales team has access to the latest product information, pricing, and promotional offers
- Act as a liaison between sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure effective communication and alignment
CRM Management:
- Oversee the integrity and accuracy of the CRM system
- Ensure the sales team is properly utilizing the CRM for pipeline management, account tracking, and reporting
- Conduct regular audits and provide ongoing training to ensure the CRM is being used optimally
Sales Performance Analysis:
- Conduct post-sales analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of sales campaigns, promotions, and strategies
- Provide actionable insights to sales leadership for performance improvement
- Track key metrics like win rates, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing to align campaigns and initiatives with sales objectives
- Collaborate with product teams to communicate customer feedback and market needs
- Support the customer success team with data to identify growth opportunities in existing accounts
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in sales operations, sales analysis, or a related field (preferably in the automotive, software, or technology sectors)
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce) and other sales tools
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus

- Familiarity with the automotive technology or software development industry
- Knowledge of sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, BANT) and pipeline management strategies
- Understanding of pricing and quote generation processes in the automotive or software sectors
