Role Purpose:
Capital Dynamics ("CD") seeks to hire a Sales Operations & Forecasting Lead to join our Private Equity Business Development - Sales team in London.
Working alongside the Global Head of Sales and Capital Dynamics CEO, the Sales Operations & Forecasting Lead will own the operational and reporting functions for all CD’s Private Equity and Clean Energy fundraising / sales processes, including routine and strategic project initiatives.
Key to this role is maintaining strong working relationships with all BD - Sales team members globally, and regularly liaising with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Investment Management on a number of sales operations initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong entrepreneurial mindset, project management, financial modelling, exceptional organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to meet critical deadlines.
Previous sales operations and revenue forecasting experience in a high-performance firm with a small to medium-sized direct global sales team is essential.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Manage the firm’s sales forecasting process and reporting activities, interfacing directly with all global Sales teams and other colleagues to project sales / private fund closes and the associated revenue.
- Manage ‘’other’’ key sales activities, including ad-hoc activity reporting, sales process training, sales kick-offs, and sales review events.
- Support the Head of Sales and CEO with the annual objective setting for Sales Professionals and Compensation administration, working alongside HR and Finance teams.
- Utilize data-driven insights to assist the Head of Sales and CEO in evaluating the performance of the sales channel/sales individuals and identify areas for additional opportunity and improvement.
- Develop and maintain analytics, dashboards, and reporting systems to improve sales process monitoring and reporting.
- Act as the CRM champion within CD, ensuring correct use and timely/accurate updates to support reporting processes.
- Responsible for documenting in CRM to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements on an annual basis.
- Oversee critical aspects of the private fund's ‘’closing process’’ to ensure all information documented in CRM is accurate.
- Create and own process of placement agent/referral partner oversight and compensation process, accounting for retainer fees, placement agent fees, revenue share arrangements, etc.
Attributes:
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a sales operations, business manager, "chief of staff" or revenue forecasting-related role where a disciplined sales forecasting and reporting system was operational.
- Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively and on time with teams located globally.
- Highly organized and priority-driven with a demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage time effectively and efficiently.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a financially related field preferred.
- Experience working in private equity, asset management, investment banking, or for a CRM / ERP solutions organization.
- An understanding of private equity fundraising or capital formation processes is highly desirable.
- Preference for an advanced degree such as an MBA or a professional certification - i.e., CFA or CAIA, though not essential.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
Languages:
- Must be fluent in English and display superior writing skills.
