Evo owns a few CPG brands focusing on high quality supplements. We’re currently operating in 3 markets and our team members are based out of Singapore, Malaysia & Hongkong. We have past experience working in big tech companies which includes Grab, Tiktok, Zalora, FoodPanda, Fave, Shopee, etc.
As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company’s financial operations and helping shape its future direction. You will work closely with the CEO and executive team to provide insights, strategic direction, and guidance on financial planning, risk management, and overall growth strategy. The CFO will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, managing cash flow, and optimizing profitability while supporting our fast-paced model.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Lead the financial planning and analysis processes, forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial strategy.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth, reduce costs, and improve profitability.
- Advise the CEO and board of directors on financial matters, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensure all financial operations are compliant with tax laws, audit standards, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the DTC FMCG industry.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Capital & Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure operational needs and growth initiatives are funded.
- Optimize capital structure, evaluate funding options, and secure financing for expansion and working capital needs.
- Maintain relationships with investors, banks, and other financial partners.
Financial Operations & Process Improvement:
- Lead financial systems and processes to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Implement best practices for cost control, financial forecasting, and margin optimization.
- Introduce automation and technology to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team to drive results.
- Ensure the team has the necessary skills and capabilities to meet business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability within the finance team.
Performance Metrics & Insights:
- Provide data-driven insights into key performance metrics (KPIs), including customer acquisition costs (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), margins, and more.
- Partner with marketing and operations teams to analyze and optimize the performance of DTC channels and customer acquisition strategies.
- Ensure timely, accurate financial analysis to support data-driven decision-making across the business.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks, ensuring robust internal controls and safeguards are in place.
- Monitor changes in financial regulations, consumer trends, and market conditions that could impact the company’s financial health.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Work closely with the CEO and executive team to identify growth opportunities, including new market entries, product diversification, and potential acquisitions.
- Build relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, investors, and consultants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (preferably within FMCG, DTC, or e-commerce).
- Strong understanding of the DTC business model, consumer behavior analytics, and financial KPIs related to e-commerce and direct-to-consumer sales.
- Proven track record of scaling financial operations in high-growth companies.
- Experience with fundraising, investor relations, and managing financial risks.
- In-depth knowledge of financial management software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to distill complex financial information for executive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, or other strategic financial activities is a plus.
