The Opportunity
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing private equity-backed FMCG business operating in high-growth categories on supermarket shelves. With an expanding product range and a strong commitment to quality and innovation, the business is well positioned for its next phase of success.
As Chief Financial Officer, you will join a highly engaged and capable leadership team, playing a central role in shaping strategy and driving performance across the business. This is a broad remit encompassing finance, demand and supply planning, procurement and commercial performance, providing genuine scope to influence outcomes and deliver meaningful impact.
You will do this within a relaxed, collaborative and innovative culture, underpinned by ambitious plans and a clear strategic vision.
The Challenge
Reporting to the CEO, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing Group accounting and financial control across a multi-national business currently operating in Australia, NZ and the UK
- Monthly management reporting to the Board and Private Equity owners
- Leading FP&A, annual budgeting and long-term strategic planning processes
- All treasury, tax, risk management and company secretarial
- Supporting the CEO and Board in M&A and strategic transactions including acquisitions, divestments, partnerships and capital raising
- Overseeing integrated business planning processes including demand planning and supply planning to support production, inventory and working capital management
- Partnering closely with operational teams to improve margins, inventory management and cost discipline
- Overseeing procurement strategy, including supplier selection, contract negotiation and cost management
- Leading a high-performing team of 10
The Expertise
Please apply for the position if you have the following:
- 10+ years’ senior finance leadership experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or multi-product environments; prior experience as a CFO is a must
- CA or CPA qualified
- Commercial capability across pricing, costing, procurement analysis, investment evaluation, and margin improvement
- Strong background in cashflow management, working capital control, treasury operations, and banking relationships
- Proven ability to partner with Operations, Marketing, and General Managers to improve financial visibility & performance and operational decision-making
- Experience managing multi-brand, multi-channel businesses
- Experience working within a private-equity backed business or with M&A very highly regarded
