Position Overview
The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of the company, overseeing financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Jewellery sector, particularly with loose diamonds and finished products, and a proven track record in navigating both domestic and export markets.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s objectives and market trends.
Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Financial Reporting
Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Risk Management
Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with domestic and international operations.
Implement effective internal controls and policies to safeguard company assets.
Cash Flow Management
Manage cash flow, working capital, and investment strategies to optimize financial performance.
Monitor and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Market Analysis
Analyze market trends in the Jewellery and diamond sectors, providing insights for strategic decision- making.
Support sales and marketing initiatives through financial analysis and forecasting.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications
Chartered Accountant
10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in the Jewellery or luxury goods industry.
Strong understanding of loose diamonds, Jewellery manufacturing, and retail operations.
Proven experience in managing financial operations in both domestic and international markets.
Exceptional analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
