Key Roles & responsibilities
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our client organization's Finance, Accounts, Audit, Compliance and Secretarial functions.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with 20+ years of experience, preferably in a consumer-facing industry (FMCG, Retail, Consumer Durables), and should have hands-on exposure to IPO planning, fund-raising, and investor relations. Familiarity with financial technology tools like SAP HANA and Salesforce is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead overall financial strategy, planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Oversee financial controls, cash flow management, working capital optimization, and margin improvement
- Lead internal and statutory audits, ensure risk management and adherence to corporate governance norms
- Manage all regulatory, tax, and secretarial compliances under Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, etc.
- Prepare and lead the company’s IPO readiness – including audit, documentation, due diligence, and roadshows
- Lead fund-raising initiatives – equity, debt, structured financing – and manage relationships with banks, VCs, PEs, and financial institutions
- Collaborate with external stakeholders such as legal advisors, merchant bankers, and auditors
- Manage Board communications, investor presentations, and performance reporting
- Drive finance digitization and automation using tools like SAP HANA, Salesforce, and BI dashboards
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified CA/ ICWA or MBA(Finance) with a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience
- Proven leadership in consumer-facing industries (e.g., FMCG, Retail, D2C)
- Demonstrated track record of fund-raising and capital market exposure (IPO experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial laws, Indian accounting standards, and compliance frameworks
- Tech-savvy with working knowledge of SAP HANA, Salesforce, Excel, and modern finance tools
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
