A long-standing, privately held company in the specialty contracting and field services sector is seeking a hands-on, strategic Chief Financial Officer to guide its next stage of growth. With revenues in the mid-eight figures and a clear path to scale further, the company is investing in modern systems, stronger financial infrastructure, and leadership talent to support expansion. This role offers direct access to ownership and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial operations: accounting, reporting, cash management, forecasting, budgeting, and compliance.
- Modernize ERP and financial systems to support scalability.
- Develop KPIs and dashboards to strengthen operational and project performance.
- Partner with ownership and senior leadership on strategy and growth initiatives.
- Manage external relationships with banks, auditors, and insurers.
- Support long-term initiatives including acquisitions and capital projects.
- Recruit and mentor a lean, high-performing finance team.
Ideal Candidate
- Current CFO or senior finance leader in a specialty contracting, technical services, or project-based services organization ($30M–$150M revenue).
- Strong experience with job costing, WIP schedules, and project-based accounting.
- Proven record implementing ERP/financial systems and scaling financial operations.
- Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution.
- CPA, CCIFP, or MBA preferred.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $200K–$250K
- Bonus: up to 30% tied to performance
- Relocation support available
