A confidential, privately held organization headquartered in the Milwaukee area is seeking an experienced
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee financial operations and guide strategic growth.
Job Description:
The
CFO will be responsible for the overall financial leadership of the company, including accounting oversight, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a seasoned executive seeking a balance between strategic impact and day-to-day engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Lead and maintain relationships with banking and lending institutions
- Develop financial strategies to improve credit lines, reduce costs, and optimize capital structure
- Support ERP transition and implementation efforts
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Partner closely with ownership and senior leadership on financial planning and business initiatives
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial leader in a mid-sized organization
- Strong background in banking relationships, credit negotiation, and treasury management
- Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
- ERP implementation or system migration experience preferred
- CPA or MBA strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Schedule:
- Approximately 20-30 hours / week.
- Primarily onsite with limited hybrid flexibility (1 day remote per week)
