Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Fort Lauderdale, FL for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, including financial planning, managing financial statements, financial reporting, and ensuring the company's financial health. Day-to-day tasks include developing and implementing financial strategies, monitoring financial performance, preparing reports, and providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, manage forecasts, and monitor performance against targets.
- Risk Management: Oversee company-wide risk management, internal controls, and compliance with regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the CEO, Board of Directors, and stakeholders.
- Capital Management: Manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions; oversee capital-raising initiatives.
- Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Collaboration: Partner with other executives to drive strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent senior finance leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of corporate financial law, risk management practices, and financial forecasting.
- Expertise in data analysis and financial modeling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
