Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Controller
Location: Erlanger, Kentucky 41018
Employment Type: Full-Time, In-Person (40 hours per week) opportunity for Hybrid after the first few months
Compensation: $150,000 starting annual salary
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting packages.
- Manage general ledger activity, including posting GL sub-ledgers, recurring and reversing entries, and accruals.
- Process payroll accrual entries and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Prepare and maintain work-in-progress construction job schedules and job cost analysis.
- Handle all monthly and quarterly tax payments in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Calculate and record monthly depreciation schedules.
- Perform bank reconciliations and oversee cash flow management.
- Administer in-house payroll and prepare monthly union fringe reports.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance within Sage Timberline Construction Accounting software.
- Provide ongoing financial analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Build strong relationships with external partners, banks, auditors, and tax professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, Required in construction or related industries.
- Proficiency with Sage Timberline (Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate) Required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting practices.
- Proven experience in job cost analysis, payroll, and union reporting.
- High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple companies and teams.
