Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, we are seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team and drive financial strategy as we scale our operations globally.
Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, including strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, investor relations, and risk management. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in finance, a passion for innovation, and the ability to navigate the complexities of the MRI technology and preventative healthcare industry, including regulatory compliance and high-growth environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy to support long-term growth and profitability in the MRI technology and preventative healthcare sector.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and analysis of financial reports, KPIs, and data to guide business decisions, assess performance, and ensure financial stability.
- Building Financial Frameworks: Design and implement scalable financial frameworks, systems, processes, and internal controls to support business expansion, including international growth, operational scaling, and efficiency improvements.
- Capital Raising & Investor Relations: Work with CEO on fundraising efforts, including equity financing, debt financing, and strategic partnerships, while maintaining strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, and stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, GAAP standards, and industry-specific requirements in the medical technology space, coordinate external audits and maintain ethical standards.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, including tax, business, legal, liabilities, investments, intellectual property, regulatory changes, and develop tax optimization strategies to maximize benefits.
- Treasury & Operational Efficiency: Manage treasury functions, cash flow, investments, and capital structure; collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes, drive cost efficiencies, and enhance profitability.
- Team Leadership & Organization Building: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team; contribute to overall organizational structure, development, and hiring to support scaling in a high-growth environment; foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA, or CFA strongly preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
- Proven track record in the medical technology, healthcare, or related high-growth industry, ideally with experience in MRI, preventative healthcare, or regulated environments.
- Experience with fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, building scalable financial frameworks, and managing teams in fast-paced settings.
- Skills:
- Expertise in risk mitigation, including tax optimization, business, and legal strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and leveraging technology to automate processes.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance short-term financial goals with long-term growth objectives; comfortable with numbers and data-driven decision-making.

- Compensation:
- Base salary of $200,000 to $275,000, depending on experience
