Job Description: GTM Automation Engineer (Lead Generation & Sales Automation)

About the Role
We are looking for a GTM Engineer who can design, build, and scale automated systems that drive predictable, repeatable lead generation and accelerate the sales cycle. This role is highly technical and highly performance-driven — the ideal candidate has proven, measurable success in building automated GTM engines that increase pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue.
You will own the automation strategy end-to-end: data pipelines, outbound workflows, enrichment, scoring, routing, CRM automation, and sales workflow optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation Automation
- Build automated lead acquisition systems (email, LinkedIn, intent data, enrichment tools, scraping, inbound routing).
- Architect outbound engines using tools such as Apollo, Clay, Zapier, HubSpot/Salesforce, and custom scripts.
- Implement enrichment, deduplication, scoring, and routing processes to ensure high-quality pipeline.
- Continuously optimize outbound sequences and targeting using data-driven experimentation.
Sales Cycle Automation
- Automate repetitive sales tasks (follow-ups, reminders, meeting scheduling, qualification steps).
- Integrate CRM with marketing, data, and communication tools for seamless pipeline movement.
- Build dashboards and alerts for reps and leadership to eliminate friction and shorten time-to-close.
- Create automation around proposals, contracts, onboarding, and renewals where relevant.
Data & Systems Engineering
- Develop and maintain GTM data pipelines for leads, accounts, and opportunities.
- Build workflows using APIs, webhooks, zap-based logic, or lightweight scripts (Python/JS).
- Ensure data accuracy, hygiene, and compliance across all systems.
Cross-Functional Enablement
- Work with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, and Product to identify bottlenecks and automate processes.
- Document workflows, runbooks, and system behavior clearly.
- Train teams on new automation features or optimized workflows.
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
Proven results in GTM automation are mandatory. Include specific metrics (e.g., pipeline generated, outbound volume automated, conversion improvements, % reduction in sales cycle).
- 3+ years experience in GTM automation, RevOps engineering, growth engineering, or sales automation roles.
- Demonstrated success building automated lead-generation systems and outbound engines.
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot), sequencing tools, and workflow automation tools (Zapier, Make, Clay, Apollo, Outreach).
- Strong technical skills: APIs, webhooks, data manipulation, light scripting (Python/JS).
- Ability to design repeatable, measurable GTM systems.
- Strong analytical and performance mindset — always optimizing for ROI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fast-paced startup environments.
- Familiarity with N8N
- Experience building multi-step customer acquisition workflows.
