We are seeking a Director/ VP Go-To-Market who will lead our revenue efforts by:
Building and orchestrating a recruiting/ acquisition engine for new craftsmen partners
Leading the marketing / GTM excellence center that helps our partner craft businesses (Handwerksbetriebe & Neugründungen) grow their top line and retain revenues through local GTM experiments, productization of lead-generation channels
This role is crucial to the success of smalt’s business and our goal of becoming a global champion. It is the first senior leadership role with a strong GTM/ Revenue focus. You will work with a team of 3-5 people across recruiting/ acquisition and the GTM excellence center. The role combines commercial strategy, marketing experimentation, and hands-on activation to make our partners successful. You will work at the intersection of operations, marketing, and technology — driving growth, testing playbooks, and shaping how Smalt empowers trades entrepreneurs to scale.
As Director / VP GTM, you will:
Accelerate partner growth & revenue retention: Work closely with new and existing craft partners to identify growth levers, design local activation campaigns, and drive top-line revenue.
Run growth & marketing experiments: Design and test campaigns (digital & offline), implement funnels, and measure performance.
Create repeatable playbooks: Develop structured go-to-market templates and best practices that can be scaled across Smalt’s partner network.
Make topline growth scalable: Work with the Product and Technology teams to identify opportunities to productize successful GTM approaches and automate growth processes.
Lead the recruiting/ acquisition and GTM-teams: Lead a team of 3-5 across partner acquisition/ recruiting as well as partner GTM/ revenue growth and retention.

Ideal Background:
High-growth startup leadership experience in go-to-market or sales enablement.
Strong exposure to small business growth and field marketing.
Passionate about empowering entrepreneurs and helping real businesses grow.
Experience & Skills:
4–6 years of full-time work experience in go-to-market, marketing, digital marketing, revenue retention - in online and offline
Ideally, previous experience in the trades/crafts and ability to think both digital as well as offline revenue generation
Top-notch intrinsic motivation and excitement about designing and executing data-driven revenue-generating campaigns.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to measure and optimize performance.
Hands-on with digital tools (e.g., Webflow, Notion, Google Sheets, Zapier, HubSpot) and willing to experiment to find what works.
Language: Fluent in German and English.
