About The Role
The Sales Operations Manager drives the operational backbone of the sales organization. You’ll build and refine processes, maintain CRM standards, develop reporting dashboards, and ensure teams have the systems and structure needed to perform at a high level. This role requires strong analytical instincts, a strategic mindset, and a love for getting things organized the right way.
You’ll lead planning cycles, support forecasting, align cross functional workflows, and reinforce sales enablement. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast moving environment where accuracy matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales Leadership to develop annual sales strategies, goals, and plans
- Support territory planning, quota modeling, and forecasting
- Build and refine scalable sales processes and workflows
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend improvements
- Create dashboards and recurring reports on revenue, pipeline, and KPIs
- Analyze sales trends and provide insights to guide decision making
- Maintain CRM standards, configuration, and data integrity
- Train sales teams on CRM usage, reporting, and best practices
- Align with Marketing on lead generation, campaign performance, and funnel metrics
- Partner with Finance on sales forecasting and compensation planning
- Support new hire onboarding, training, and sales enablement resources
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations or Sales Management roles
- Strong experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce
- Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics tools
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects
- Experience supporting leadership with data driven insights
- Ability to operate in a fast paced environment with high accountability
Desired Skills
- Experience in industrial services, power generation, marine, or similar industries
- Experience with sales compensation modeling or forecasting
- Familiarity with marketing and sales funnel metrics
- Background implementing CRM improvements or sales tools
- Ability to work independently and solve operational problems quickly
