8Lanes.ai is building the Agentic Operating System for Trucking Logistics, automating the workflows that cost carriers and brokers billions every year: accessorial capture, POD collection, smart dispatch, invoicing, compliance, and customer support.
Our mission is simple: reduce the 50% inefficiency tax in logistics through agentic AI.
We’re backed by early traction, industry validation, and committed pilots—and now we’re looking for a Fractional Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) who wants to help define and scale our GTM engine from day one.
This role is equity-only (depending on experience & contribution), ideal for someone entrepreneurial with deep industry relationships and experience selling into manufacturers, distributors, or freight brokers.
What You’ll OwnWe’re looking for a revenue leader who can turn connections into conversations—and conversations into signed customers.
You will:
- Build and run the GTM strategy for our early-stage AI logistics platform
- Leverage your Rolodex in manufacturing, distribution, or the brokerage world to drive meetings and early deals
- Develop repeatable sales motions for SMB carriers, mid-sized brokers, and eventually enterprise shippers
- Design pricing, value messaging, and outbound frameworks with the founders
- Partner closely with product to refine roadmap based on field intelligence
- Build the foundation for our sales organization (playbooks → systems → hires)
- Represent 8Lanes.ai as an industry thought leader in logistics + AI
Ideal ExperienceThis role requires someone who already commands trust in the logistics ecosystem.
You’re a strong fit if you have:
Industry Background- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, transportation, or freight brokerage (Director/VP-level preferred)
- Deep knowledge of carrier & broker workflows (dispatch, TMS, accessorials, billing, PODs)
- Understanding of how SMB carriers operate—97% have <100 trucks and are underserved by software
Network & Relationships- A real network of transportation managers, logistics directors, fleet owners, or brokerage leaders
- Ability to immediately open doors for pilots and early revenue
- Strong reputation and relationship-based selling approach
Sales Leadership Expertise- Track record of building 0→1 GTM motions for early-stage SaaS or logistics products
- Ownership of revenue forecasting, pipeline management, deal structuring
- Ability to craft compelling ROI-driven narratives for operational automation
