*Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
*Role Overview*
The CFO is a senior executive who steers the financial strategy and operations of a publicly‑listed entity. The role sits on the executive leadership team, reports directly to the MD and the Board of Directors, and is accountable for safeguarding the company’s financial health while enabling growth.
*Key Responsibilities*
1. *Financial Strategy & Planning*
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s mission and growth objectives.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning, ensuring realistic targets and robust cash‑flow management. ¹ ²
2. *Financial Operations & Controls*
- Oversee all accounting, treasury, tax, and reporting functions.
- Maintain accurate financial records, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP/IND‑AS, SEC, and other regulatory requirements. ¹ ²
3. *Investor & Stakeholder Relations*
- Serve as the primary financial liaison with shareholders, analysts, banks, and auditors.
- Prepare and present financial results, strategic updates, and risk disclosures to the Board and the market. ¹ ²
4. *Risk Management & Governance*
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks (liquidity, credit, market, compliance).
- Establish policies and procedures that protect assets and ensure regulatory adherence. ² ³
5. *Leadership & Team Development*
- Build and lead a high‑performing finance team across multiple plants or regions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and ethical financial practices. ¹ ⁴
6. *M&A & Capital Allocation*
- Evaluate investment opportunities, manage due diligence, and support mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
- Optimize capital structure, debt/equity mix, and funding strategies to support expansion. ¹ ²
*Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
- Minimum 10–12 years of progressive financial leadership, with at least 5 years in a listed or IPO‑ready organization.
- Proven track record in IPO readiness, fundraising, and investor relations.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills; proficient with ERP systems, data analytics tools, and financial reporting software. ⁵ ⁶
