The role
We’re hiring a senior leader to own Operations Support across the company.
This role owns outcomes, not activity. The goal is consistent, predictable execution across Operations Support.
You will bring structure, visibility, and follow-through across the back-office functions that keep production moving—without adding bureaucracy. You will work in close partnership with our existing functional leaders.
What you’ll own
- Vendor + contract ownership (performance, renewals, negotiations, consolidation)
- Tech stack ownership (CRM, job boards, IT support, intranet, finance/payroll systems)
- Finance operations leadership (in partnership with our Director of Finance)
- HR + payroll operations leadership (in partnership with our Director of HR and Payroll team)
- Multi-state compliance + risk workflows (across our footprint)
- Operating cadence + project execution for Operations Support priorities
What success looks like in the first 90 days
- A complete vendor portfolio view (costs, owners, renewals, performance, keep/kill)
- A simple operating cadence (weekly scoreboard, monthly review, quarterly priorities)
- A clear project pipeline with owners, deadlines, and outcomes
- Cleaner internal execution (fewer surprises, faster decisions, tighter follow-through)
- A 12–24 month Operations Support roadmap (systems, process, team plan)
Core responsibilitiesVendor + Tech Stack Leadership
- Own vendor selection, renewals, negotiations, and performance management
- Reduce tool sprawl; consolidate where it makes sense
- Set standards for SLAs, internal support, and change control
- Build and maintain a 12–24 month systems roadmap aligned to growth
Operations Support Leadership (partnered leadership model)
- Partner closely with the Director of Finance to strengthen finance ops cadence, visibility, and execution
- Partner closely with the Director of HR and Payroll team to strengthen HR/payroll ops cadence, visibility, and execution
- Create visibility into risks, bottlenecks, and priorities—then drive decisions and follow-through
- Build simple documentation/process where it prevents repeat issues (not for “show”)
Execution System
- Run the Operations Support project pipeline: prioritize, assign owners, remove blockers, close loops
- Turn initiatives into shipped outcomes with clear timelines and accountability
- Partner with Production leadership to ensure support functions match revenue growth
Who we’re looking for
- 10–15+ years leading business operations / internal ops / shared services
- Proven ownership across vendors + systems, plus at least 2 of: finance ops, HR/payroll ops, compliance/risk, tech/vendor management
- Metrics-driven, decisive, organized, and strong follow-through
- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment where priorities matter and deadlines are real
- Experience in staffing, multi-state operations, or high-compliance environments is a plus
