MBH Group is seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team and drive the financial, commercial, and strategic performance of a growing ASX-listed organisation. Reporting directly to the Board, this hands-on role will lead the Group’s financial management, commercial insights, and value-creation agenda during an exciting period of expansion.
About the Role
As CFO, you will lead the Group’s strategic financial performance and governance while partnering closely with the Board, executive team, and business unit leaders.
You will work to rapidly transform and level-up the finance function by developing the team and establishing best-practice process across all aspects of finance. By strengthening finance, you will be best positioned to support strategic growth initiatives including M&A, capital management, and operational optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team aligned to MBH’s values.
- Drive finance transformation, systems & process improvement, automation
- Strengthen financial governance, internal controls, and risk management.
- Provide high-quality business partnering to the Board and Executive Team.
- Contribute to long-term strategy development and support execution of expansion initiatives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance (including ASX).
- Build exceptional financial control discipline and be all over the balance sheet
- Oversee treasury, cash flow, debt facilities, insurance, and tax compliance.
- Lead financial due diligence, capital structuring, and major investment decisions.
- Manage investor, auditor, banking, regulatory, and external stakeholder relationships.
About You
You are a commercially astute, action-oriented finance leader with a track record of successful finance transformation, ideally in an ASX-listed SME environment. You know what good looks like and have a ‘builder’ mentality when it comes to establishing capability. You thrive in a dynamic, hands-on role, balancing strategic forward-thinking with operational execution.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce + CA/CPA (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a CFO, ideally in an ASX-listed SME.
- Demonstrated success transforming SME finance functions to enable scale.
- Strong financial management, commercial acumen, and stakeholder influence.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-site finance teams.
- Manufacturing experience (standard costing essential; food manufacturing ideal).
- Exposure to B2C e-commerce and digital channels (desirable).
- Experience working with Boards, Audit & Risk Committees, investors, and regulators.
