Role Description
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key executive responsible for the financial strategy of DEK & Mavericks Green Energy Limited. The ideal candidate will possess a strong strategic mindset and will lead the company’s financial planning, analysis, budgeting, treasury, cash flow management, accounting, and taxation. The CFO will work closely with the CEO to drive a sustainable growth trajectory and support a 5-year planning cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the financial strategy aligned with the company’s vision and objectives. Provide strategic insights to support decision-making by the CEO and the board.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead financial forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with overall corporate strategy. Prepare financial analysis to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Oversee treasury operations and manage the company’s cash flow effectively to ensure liquidity and financial stability. Develop strategies to optimize capital structure and financing.
- Accounting & Taxation: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and oversee accounting practices. Manage tax planning and optimization efforts to maximize financial efficiency.
- People Management: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Define the right processes and organizational structure to support the company's financial goals.
- Process Definition: Establish and refine financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
- Reporting & Management Information Systems (MIS): Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate financial reports and MIS to support strategic decision-making. Ensure timely reporting to stakeholders on financial performance and key metrics.
- Audits & Compliance: Manage internal and external audits, ensuring that the organization adheres to regulatory and compliance obligations. Develop and enforce policies and procedures to mitigate risks and enhance governance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate financial performance and strategy to internal and external stakeholders, including investors, regulatory bodies, and senior management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance for a reputed university.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in Finance and Accounts within various industries, including Manufacturing, Telecom, Infrastructure, and Renewables. Experience working in large corporate settings is essential.
Skills:
- Strong strategic mindset with demonstrated ability to drive financial strategy.
- Extensive knowledge in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, treasury, accounting, and taxation.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing teams and developing talent.
