About the Role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of V2 Retail Limited. The CFO will provide strategic leadership, financial oversight, and guidance to ensure the company’s financial health, profitability, and compliance. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will collaborate with other department heads to support business growth and improve financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning
- Lead the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy to support long-term business objectives.
- Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to align financial goals with overall business strategy.
- Analyze financial data to assess performance and identify areas for growth or improvement.
- Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, meeting compliance and regulatory standards.
- Monitor financial performance, variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring that budgets are aligned with business goals.
- Provide accurate financial forecasts to support business decision-making.
- Monitor budget performance and recommend adjustments to meet financial targets.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Oversee cash flow management to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
- Develop strategies for effective working capital management.
- Lead cash management activities, including treasury functions and investments.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure the company’s financial practices comply with industry regulations and standards.
- Oversee internal controls, audit processes, and tax compliance.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Develop the skills and capabilities of the finance team to meet future challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance operations and systems.
- Investor Relations & External Partnerships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and other external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Initiatives
- Lead financial due diligence and integration for potential mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships.
- Support strategic initiatives to drive growth and expansion, including new retail locations or market entry.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field & Chartered Accountant (CA).
Required Skills
- Excellent knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership.
- Advanced knowledge of financial software, SAP, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role.
- Experience in the retail industry is highly preferred.
- Strong background in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proven track record in managing large teams and driving financial strategies that contribute to business growth.
