About the Team:
The Salesforce CPQ Developer reports to the Enterprise Application Delivery organization within the Information Systems/Enterprise IT & Strategy. The Salesforce CPQ Developer is dedicated to the sustained stability, performance, and data accuracy of our current Salesforce Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) instance. This role primarily involves handling configuration changes, and executing complex data loading routines necessary for ongoing product and pricing maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
The daily tasks of a Salesforce CPQ Developer will include:
- Data Management and Loading (Core Focus):
- Execute complex, high-volume data loading and updates to critical CPQ objects, including Products, Product Features, Options, Price Books, Pricing Rules, and Contracts.
- Utilize tools like Data Loader, Workbench, or custom scripting to ensure data integrity and compliance with CPQ relationship constraints during data manipulation.
- Review CPQ data for consistency and correcting errors impacting pricing or configuration.
- CPQ Configuration Maintenance:
- Implement configuration changes to existing Product Bundles, Product Rules, Discounting Structures, and Validation Rules as requested by business stakeholders through approved change requests.
- Maintain and update Quote Templates and the associated logic to ensure compliance with branding and legal requirements.
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute unit and system tests for all maintenance configurations and code modifications before deployment to production.
Technical Skills
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Salesforce CPQ Expertise: Demonstrated, in-depth, hands-on experience maintaining and supporting a production Salesforce CPQ environment. A deep understanding of the dependencies and relationships among core CPQ objects is mandatory.
- Data Proficiency: Strong expertise in complex data loading, manipulation, and validation using Data Loader, Workbench, or other ETL tools, specifically within the context of CPQ data models.
- LWC/Aura components, and declarative tools (Flow, Validation Rules) relevant to the CPQ flow.
- Certifications (Highly desired - or agreeable to work to obtain):
- Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist

- Attention to Detail: Absolute precision when handling production configuration and critical pricing data.
- Problem-Solving & Diagnostics: Proven ability to rapidly diagnose and resolve complex, interdependent technical issues in a high-stakes production environment.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication
Qualifications
- 1-3 Years experience with Salesforce CPQ
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field
