Job Description
Reporting directly to the CEO and working as a core member of the new Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead Laurus Education's operational finance function, and strategic financial planning across all Laurus entities and 7x campuses through a vital growth phase.Additionally, the CFO will be responsible for:
- Drive enterprise-wide financial strategy, profitability, and sustainability.
- Oversee statutory reporting, audit, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage capital, treasury, and student funds with integrity and transparency.
- Lead financial risk management, internal controls, and insurance frameworks.
- Provide commercial governance for market expansion, pricing, and partnerships.
- Architect a scalable, digitally enabled finance ecosystem integrated with ERP and banking platforms.
This is a pivotal role ensuring Laurus Education remains bankable, regulator-defensible, and enterprise-ready at scale.
The Successful Applicant
We are seeking a strategic and commercially astute leader with:
- CPA, CA or equivalent accounting qualification, and a relevant degree.
- Extensive senior finance leadership experience, including CFO or equivalent roles.
- Proven success in complex, multi-entity, for-profit organisations and high-growth environments.
- Experience in regulated sectors, ideally education but open to other industries.
- Strong track record in capital structuring, treasury management, and international operations.
- Expertise in finance systems integration, data automation, and digital transformation.
- Exceptional leadership capability, high integrity, and the ability to build trust in financial insight at Board level.
