Lindian Resources Limited (ASX: LIN) is an ASX-listed critical minerals company advancing the Kangankunde Rare Earths Project in Malawi, one of the largest undeveloped rare earth assets globally. With a market capitalisation approaching AUD$1billion, the Company is firmly in the execution phase, progressing through construction toward first production.
We have already reached Final Investment Decision and is fully funded for Stage 1 of Kangankunde, supported by a AUD 91.5 million institutional capital raising and a strategic partnership with Iluka Resources. Construction is underway, with first production targeted for Q4 2026, positioning Lindian as the next rare earths producers to market.
Kangankunde is a long-life, multi-generational asset with approvals already achieved for expansion beyond Stage 1. Alongside delivery of the project, Lindian is actively positioning the business to participate further downstream as part of a more integrated rare earths supply chain.

Key Deliverables
- Lead the organisation’s financial strategy, including long‑term planning, capital management, and complex project‑financing initiatives.
- Oversee advanced financial modelling and enterprise‑wide planning, including budgeting, forecasting, cashflow optimisation, and cost‑discipline across all project stages.
- Maintain a best‑practice governance, risk, and compliance framework, aligned with regulatory standards and ASX listing expectations.
- Deliver high‑quality board reporting and executive insights that support transparency and strategic decision‑making.
- Manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including institutional investors, financial partners, auditors, and government bodies.
- Direct governance and compliance across a multinational structure, ensuring adherence to all tax and statutory requirements in Australia and Africa.
- Design financial structures and operating models that support current operations, optimise project delivery, and enable future growth.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing finance organisation, spanning both corporate headquarters and operational sites, and capable of supporting a sophisticated, globally scaled business.
About You
- Professionally qualified finance executive (CA / CPA) with a demonstrated record of excellence in complex corporate environments.
- Postgraduate credentials in Mineral Economics, Finance, or an MBA will be regarded as a strong differentiator, reflecting advanced commercial and strategic capability.
- Experience overseeing financial governance across African jurisdictions is highly advantageous, particularly within resource-sector or project‑driven operating models.
- Deep commercial acumen, with a proven track record in project financing, capital raising, and/or the financial stewardship of major project development.
- Outstanding strategic leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑engagement capability, with the gravitas to influence at board, investor, and government levels.
- A highly self‑directed, resilient, and entrepreneurial mindset, well suited to the pace, ambiguity, and opportunity of a high‑growth start‑up environment.
- A hands‑on, people‑centered leadership style, combining operational pragmatism with strong emotional intelligence and a commitment to building exceptional systems, teams, and practices.
