Role Overview
This is a rare and unique opportunity to join the founding team of Across Ventures and help
shape a new type of venture capital platform at the intersection of innovation, capital, and global
partnership. The Partnerships and Business Operations Lead will play a critical role in building and scaling the firm’s LP engagement platform, cross-border innovation programs, and internal operating
model. This individual will work closely with the CEO as a trusted advisor and operator, helping
ensure that Across Ventures functions cohesively across investment, LP engagement,
operations, and ecosystem building. This position is based in the SF Bay Area.

Qualifications & Experience
- Ideal candidates possess the experience working for/with both US startups and
traditional Japanese companies in business roles
- Well-rounded business experience, including BD, strategy, operations, finance and
marketing (i.e. generalist vs. specialist)
- Demonstrated experience driving or supporting open innovation projects involving
- startups and corporates
- Strong familiarity with and curiosity about emerging technologies; ability to translate
- innovation to commercial objectives
- Bias to action, driven by an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Intellectually curious with a desire to continuously learn; technical background, a plus
- Bi-lingual and bi-culutural between Japan and US
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset
- Low ego, high ownership, and strong team-player mentality
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from zero to one
- Advanced degree in top US institutions preferred (e.g. MBA)
- Own US permanent residency or citizenship
