Sales Operations Coordinator (for Major Retailers)
Babel Fair Showroom is growing, and we’re looking for a driven, organized, and detail-oriented Sales Operations Coordinator for Major Retailers to support and execute sales activity for our major retail accounts. We represent international women’s apparel brands and partner with top retailers including Nuuly, Revolve, and Shopbop.
This role sits at the intersection of sales and operations. It involves consistent buyer communication and follow-up, paired with strong operational ownership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving to ensure accuracy, clarity, and momentum across major accounts.
This is a hybrid role, requiring two in-office days per week in New York City.
What You’ll Do
Sales Execution & Follow-Up
● Make and run major appointments
● Establish and grow business
● Send follow-up emails to major retail buyers after showroom appointments and campaigns
● Share requested product information, line sheets, pricing, and availability
● Maintain ongoing communication with buyers regarding active interest
● Track buyer responses and status (order placed, interest, pass, info request) in Airtable CRM
● Flag active interest and unresolved follow-ups to the sales team for guidance
● Support reorders, chase requests, special make-ups (SMUs), and information requests
Operations, Analysis & Coordination
● Coordinate order flow once buyers commit to purchases
● Send orders to the assistant for entry and review for accuracy
● Manage order confirmations with brands
● Assist with extensions, cancellations, and PO changes
● Support vendor setup and internal sales documentation
● Maintain and update trackers, timelines, and reports
● Use Excel/Google Sheets daily to manage data, analyze order information, and track sales activity
● Identify inconsistencies, gaps, or issues in data or order flow and proactively problem-solve before they escalate
● Act as a point of coordination between sales, brands, and operations
How This Role Works

What We’re Looking For
● 2–3 years of experience in wholesale apparel sales support, account coordination, or operations
● Someone that can meet KPI expectations
● Excellent grasp of Excel / Google Sheets (comfortable with formulas, trackers, and data review)
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — able to spot issues and propose solutions
● Comfortable emailing and following up with major retail buyers
● Highly organized, detail-driven, and dependable
● Strong written communication skills and excellent follow-through
● Enjoys balancing sales execution with operational structure
● Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple priorities
● Positive attitude, entrepreneurial mindset, and strong sense of ownership
● Thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment
