Independence Power Holdings Inc. is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Chief Financial Officer to join our executive leadership team during a pivotal phase of growth and market expansion.
This is a high-impact role for a seasoned finance leader who understands the rigor of public company operations, capital markets strategy, and the complexities of scaling energy infrastructure in a regulated, capital-intensive environment.
The Opportunity
· The CFO will serve as a key partner to the CEO and Board of Directors, overseeing all financial functions, including SEC reporting, capital markets activity, treasury, investor relations, compliance, and long-term financial strategy.
· We are looking for a leader who can build financial credibility with investors while helping architect the next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities – Public Company Reporting & Governance
· Lead SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, earnings releases).
· Ensure SOX, GAAP, and exchange compliance.
· Serve as primary liaison to the Board Audit Committee.
· Manage external auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory relationships.
Key Responsibilities – CEO Partnership & Capital Markets
· Partner with the CEO to shape and deliver the company’s investment narrative.
· Lead investor materials, valuation analyses, forecasting, and diligence preparation.
· Support capital raises, roadshows, and strategic financing initiatives.
· Communicate financial performance, capital allocation strategy, and long-term value creation plans.
Key Responsibilities – Financial Strategy & Operations
· Develop long-term financial strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.
· Lead budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, treasury, and working capital management.
· Evaluate project economics, M&A opportunities, and joint ventures.
· Build and scale a high-performing finance organization.
Key Responsibilities – Energy-Specific Financial Leadership
· Oversee financial structuring of energy assets (PPAs, tax equity, incentives).
· Support project development, construction, and operating finance.
· Manage regulatory and market financial considerations.
· Ensure accurate cost tracking and performance metrics across assets.
Qualifications
· 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
· Prior CFO or senior finance experience in a publicly traded or pre-IPO energy company.
· Deep expertise in SEC reporting and public company compliance.
· Strong capital markets and project finance background.
· Experience scaling finance teams in high-growth environments.
· Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
