Segrera Associates is recruiting a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on behalf of a well-established nonprofit organization. This senior leadership role reports directly to the President/CEO and is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial strategy, operations, and long-term sustainability.

The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, providing financial insight, operational oversight, and guidance to support growth, diversification of revenue, and sound fiscal management across a complex, multi-location nonprofit environment.

This position isan on-site position. Candidates should be located in or willing to commute to Largo, FL.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides strategic financial leadership and serves as a key advisor to the CEO and executive team

• Oversees all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls

• Leads long-range financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support organizational growth and sustainability

• Ensures strong fiscal governance, compliance, and adherence to nonprofit financial standards

• Oversees revenue management functions and evaluates opportunities to strengthen and diversify funding streams

• Leads and develops a multi-functional finance team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth

• Prepares financial reporting and analysis for senior leadership and Board-level review

• Partners cross-functionally to support operational decision-making and mission-driven initiatives

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required

• Advanced degree or CPA preferred

• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior-level responsibility

• Prior nonprofit experience strongly preferred

• Demonstrated success managing complex financial operations, budgets, and multiple funding sources

• Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide teams and influence at the executive level
