Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

A fast-growing, privately held organization is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. This role will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal part in shaping financial strategy, operational structure, and long-term organizational growth.
This is a hands-on, highly visible leadership position — ideal for an executive who enjoys building systems, leading teams, and partnering closely with ownership in a scaling environment.
This role offers meaningful influence across the business, including the chance to modernize financial operations, enhance reporting, and guide strategic decision-making. The CFO will oversee multiple internal functions and design the next phase of financial discipline and structure for a growing enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all finance and accounting functions, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance
- Drive financial strategy, capital planning, and performance visibility
- Strengthen internal controls and oversee financial system improvements
- Manage external relationships across banking, audit, tax, insurance, and key partners
- Partner with senior leadership to evaluate initiatives, organizational priorities, and operational performance
- Oversee HR, Accounting, Finance, and IT teams
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance organization
- Provide strategic, data-driven insights to support long-term planning
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, including prior experience as CFO or VP Finance
- Strong foundation in both accounting and financial strategy (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Experience leading multi-location or multi-entity operations
- Proven success scaling financial processes and implementing systems
- Hands-on, practical leadership style
