We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function of a fast-scaling D2C apparel and e-commerce business with a turnover of approximately ₹600 crore. As the company enters its next phase of growth — including external fundraising, enhanced governance structures, omnichannel expansion, and retail store rollout — the CFO will serve as a key leadership partner to the CEO and founders.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Business Partnering
- Drive financial strategy aligned with growth, margin expansion, and long-term profitability
- Partner with leadership on pricing, product mix, marketing spends, supply chain, and inventory planning
- Establish robust KPI dashboards across D2C, marketplaces, and omnichannel operations
Fundraising & Investor Readiness
- Lead financial modelling, projections, board decks, and data room preparation for fundraising
- Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with auditors, bankers, legal advisors, and Big4 firms
- Strengthen governance frameworks and investor reporting cadence
FP&A & Unit Economics
- Own budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning
- Drive deep analysis of CAC, ROAS, contribution margins, LTV, and channel profitability
- Improve forecasting for demand planning, inventory cycles, and cash flow management
Accounting, Audit & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely financial closures and reporting
- Oversee statutory audits and compliance including GST, TDS, ROC, and tax regulations
- Implement strong SOPs and governance structures
Treasury & Working Capital Management
- Optimize working capital and cash conversion cycles
- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and treasury operations
- Improve vendor payment structures and inventory discipline
Systems & Omnichannel Expansion
- Strengthen ERP, MIS, and finance automation systems
- Support retail expansion through capex planning, store-level P&L modelling, ROI and payback analysis
- Build financial controls across omnichannel operations
Team Leadership
- Build and lead high-performing finance teams
- Develop strong second-line leaders across FP&A, accounting, compliance, and treasury
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 12-15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Strong background in D2C, e-commerce, consumer brands, apparel, or retail
- Proven experience supporting fundraising, investor reporting, and governance enhancements
- Deep expertise in financial modelling, unit economics, and working capital management
- Experience working with Big4 firms on audits, due diligence, or transaction advisory
- CA (preferred), MBA (Finance), CPA, or CFA qualification
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
- Comfortable operating in founder-led, fast-paced growth environments
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and board-facing experience
- Ability to build scalable finance systems for the next stage of organizational growth
