About the Role
The Company is seeking a strategic, execution-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will act as a business partner to the promoters and senior leadership, while also institutionalising financial discipline, systems, governance and digital processes. The role goes beyond traditional finance and compliance. The CFO will be responsible for building robust budgeting and planning frameworks, improving quality of decision-making, driving digitisation, and strengthening organisational structure as the Company scales. The CFO will be a Key Managerial Personnel (KMP), reporting directly to the Managing Director / Board, with Accounts (and preferably Secretarial) functions reporting into the CFO.
Key Responsibilities
· Finance, Accounts & Compliance:
- Oversee the entire finance and accounts function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and strong internal controls
- Finalise quarterly and annual financial statements under Ind AS, and ensure audit readiness at all times
- Ensure full compliance with Companies Act, FEMA, RBI, Income Tax, GST and other applicable regulations
- Act as the primary interface with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax advisors and regulators
· Treasury, Fund Raising & Capital Management:
o Lead raising of short-term and long-term funds from banks, NBFCs, financial institutions and other sources
o Structure and manage project-level and corporate-level debt, including covenant monitoring and cost optimisation
o Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital management and liquidity planning
o Support management on capital allocation decisions, including project investments, land acquisitions and exits
· Strategic Planning, Budgeting & MIS:
- Design and institutionalise annual budgets, rolling forecasts and long-term financial plans
- Establish project-wise and entity-wise MIS, linking financial performance with construction, sales and collections
- Provide forward-looking insights on profitability, IRR, cash cycles and project risks
- Support scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis and stress testing for key business decisions
- Business, Commercial & Legal Decision Support:
- Act as a strategic advisor to promoters and senior leadership, translating business decisions into financial and commercial impact
- Evaluate JDAs, development agreements, land acquisition structures and revenue-sharing models
- Work closely with legal and external advisors to assess contractual, regulatory and structuring risks
- Assist in corporate restructuring, SPV rationalisation, mergers, demergers or exits to maximise shareholder value
- Digitisation, Systems & Process Excellence:
- Lead the transition from manual and spreadsheet-driven processes to system-driven, scalable platforms
- Drive implementation of ERP / accounting systems, project cost controls, sales & receivables tracking and DMS
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), approval matrices and delegation of authority frameworks
- Strengthen internal controls and risk management frameworks across the organisation
- Leadership, Governance & Stakeholder Management:
- Build, lead and mentor a high-performing finance & accounts team
- Drive a culture of accountability, ownership and professional discipline
- As KMP, present financial performance, risks and key transactions to the Board with clarity and transparency
- Support governance and ensure high standards of financial and ethical conduct

· Timely and accurate closure of quarterly and annual financials under Ind AS

Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline
- MBA / PGDM in Finance or Strategy – Preferred (not mandatory)
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum 15–20 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in real estate, infrastructure or project-based businesses
- Strong experience in Ind AS, taxation (direct & indirect), fund raising and regulatory compliance
- Experience dealing with banks, financial institutions, auditors and regulators
