Role Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for stewarding the financial resources of Jesus Calls Ministries with integrity, transparency, and accountability. The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure statutory compliance (Trust regulations), and support the ministry’s mission through effective financial planning and governance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Stewardship
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the ministry’s vision and mission
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Provide financial insights to support leadership and ministry expansion
2. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee accounting, financial systems, and MIS reporting
- Ensure timely preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial performance across Prayer Towers and departments
3. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including Income Tax, and Trust/Society laws
- Manage internal and external audits and regulatory filings
- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance
4. Donor Fund Management
- Ensure transparent and accurate utilization of donor contributions
- Oversee fund allocation, tracking, and reporting
- Support donor reporting and accountability processes
5. Risk Management
- Identify financial risks and implement appropriate controls
- Ensure fraud prevention measures and financial discipline
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team across locations
- Build strong systems, processes, and financial discipline
- Drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
7. Operational & Ministry Support
- Partner with ministry leaders to ensure budget adherence
- Support procurement, cost optimization, and resource utilization
- Enable data-driven decision-making across all ministry functions
Key Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification
- 12–18+ years of experience in finance leadership roles
- Strong knowledge ofNGO accounting, and statutory regulations in India
- Experience in handling multi-location financial operations
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and financial reporting tools
