Airswift is partnering with a leading clean‑energy developer to identify a Business Operations Manager for a high‑visibility, strategic, and confidential role supporting the development and execution of a multi‑billion‑dollar hydrogen/ammonia project.
This role functions as a Chief of Staff to executive leadership, operating at the intersection of strategy, project development, finance, and execution. The Business Operations Manager plays a critical role in advancing the project toward Final Investment Decision (FID) and into construction.
This is not a traditional PMO or administrative Chief of Staff role. The successful candidate will bring strong energy project experience, commercial acumen and the ability to drive complex initiatives across technical, financial, and organizational workstreams.
Key Responsibilities (Summary)
- Support executive leaders by preparing presentations, reports, and governance materials.
- Drive progress across strategic, commercial, financial, and technical initiatives.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment, accountability, and timely delivery.
- Support major project milestones including financing, permitting, EPC, and FID readiness.
- Maintain dashboards, KPIs, calendars, and operating rhythms for executive oversight.
- Manage communication with external partners such as advisors, EPC firms, investors, and regulators.
- Lead special projects and assist with high‑priority execution needs.
Skill & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in energy, infrastructure, chemicals, LNG, hydrogen, ammonia, or other capital‑intensive industries.
- Experience supporting executive leadership and/or Boards of Directors.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Project development or investment decision processes
- Strong financial, commercial, and strategic acumen, with comfort reviewing investment cases and project economics
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary initiatives.
- Ability to influence without authority across internal teams and external partners.
Preferred Experience
- Background in hydrogen, ammonia, LNG, chemicals, or large‑scale energy projects.
- Exposure to project finance, EPC contracting, and development-to-construction project lifecycles.
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Prior experience in strategy, project development, investment, or Chief‑of‑Staff–type roles within energy or infrastructure
