The Opportunity

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Team. In this high-impact role, you will move beyond traditional oversight to guide the long-term financial health, sustainable growth, and operational efficiency of a premier organization in the Chicago area.
As a member of the Executive Leadership team, you will be the architect of our financial future, ensuring strong governance while driving the initiatives that fuel our expansion.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company’s growth strategies. Partner with the executive team to evaluate business initiatives through forward-looking insights and scenario modeling.
- Financial Management & Reporting: Lead all accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will ensure the integrity of monthly and annual financial statements while maintaining rigorous internal controls.
- Capital & Risk Management: Masterfully manage cash flow, liquidity, and treasury functions. You will be responsible for mitigating financial risk and optimizing operational costs to drive profitability.
- Compliance & Governance: Champion ethical financial practices and lead both internal and external audits to ensure full compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with department heads on pricing strategies and cost-benefit analyses, providing the financial roadmap for departmental success.
- Team Mentorship: Lead, develop, and inspire the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Key Competencies
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CPA highly preferred.
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability in financial modeling, long-range planning, and executive-level communication.
- Leadership: A results-driven mindset with the integrity and judgment necessary to guide an organization at the highest level.
- Technical Excellence: Deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
