Divisional Overview
PURPOSE
The Manager, Commercial Planning & Operations – CeraVe is responsible for developing and gaining consensus on short/medium/long term forecasts based on retailer and consumer demand which will drive the supply planning, production schedule, finished goods inventory levels, and financial plans for the company. This position creates and analyzes gaps versus forecast and collaboratively works with the Sales. Demand Planning and Finance teams to drive initiatives that will enable the business to efficiently deliver on retailer demand. This role will support strategic decision making by providing business, sales, demand performance and forecast insights to sales, customer strategy, marketing, finance, operations leadership and other appropriate partner groups. This position ensures that forecast excellence is being implemented across the enterprise so the ACD organization is delivering on retailer demand commitments and maintaining stellar service levels.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supports all sales financial analysis against annual budget/trend responsibility of assigned brands
- Works closely with the retailer planning team & sales to understand by customer shifts for total CeraVe. Key Liason with marketing & Demand Planning during monthly planning cycle.
- Key Finance contact for brand rollups on a weekly & monthly basis.
- Analysis, tracking and reporting includes, but is not limited to:
- Analyzing sell in vs sell out for total National Rollups
- Incorporating monthly forecasts by retailer into analysis
- Identifying and communicating upside/downside/risks to annual financial plan
- Reporting and analyzing all strategic brand initiatives as relates to in field forecasts.
- Any ad hoc financial or data analysis to support brand-specific requests
Work directly with sales & finance to capture current and future assumptions on retailer P&L and G2N documents; proactively communicate insights and factors driving or impacting assigned brands
Support cross functional interaction to share information, update on brand status and plan achievement to inform decisions
Work within internal timelines and support operational adherence; own solid preparation for all forecast / financial brand planning meeting needs.
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES
- Strong skills around forecasting/inventory management, systems, and modeling; possessing the functional/technical skills to do the work, while focusing on the needs of the customers
- Developed strong analytical, problem solving & decision-making abilities; can successfully manage multiple priorities and work through disruptions and change with ease
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that allow for clear and concise presentations
- Adaptability to a diverse working environment with the ability to work successfully with teams across the organization while being self-motivated
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; results-oriented and must be able to manage and prioritize complex projects effectively
- Strong negotiation, planning, and process management skills
- Strong computer literacy skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint
Qualification, Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in a variety of disciplines including business/project management, logistics/supply chain, and forecasting/inventory management, ideally within consumer package goods industry.
- Travel 10%
